Who We Are

Neighbors who
show up — no matter what

The Jumping Branch-Nimitz Volunteer Fire Department isn't a government agency you pass on the highway. It's a group of people from right here — teachers, mechanics, farmers, and retirees — who chose to give their time and training so your family can sleep a little easier.

Located on Robins Roost Road, our station has been a quiet constant in this community. When the phone rings at 2 AM or on a holiday morning, we answer. Because this is our home too, and your safety is our commitment.

What We Do

Services that keep
Jumping Branch safe

From emergency response to fire safety education, we offer a full range of services to protect the people and places that matter most.

Fire Suppression

Structural fires, vehicle fires, wildland fires, and hazardous material incidents — we respond to all types of fire emergencies across our jurisdiction.

Rescue Operations

Vehicle extrication, search and rescue, water rescue, and technical rescue — our volunteers are trained and equipped for complex rescue scenarios.

Fire Inspections

Pre-construction reviews, commercial inspections, and residential safety checks — we help ensure your building meets fire codes before a problem starts.

Community Education

Fire safety workshops for schools, senior centers, and community groups. We teach smoke alarm use, escape planning, and stop-drop-roll — knowledge that saves lives.

Medical First Response

Our volunteers provide initial medical care and support while EMS en route — because in rural communities, every second counts and we're already here.

Emergency Preparedness

Hurricane, severe storm, and disaster readiness planning for our community. We coordinate with county agencies to keep Jumping Branch prepared for whatever comes.
